Power in Truth (PIT) is a youth focused educational and behavioral focused program which has been implemented since 2000. PIT empowers hundreds to thousands of youths each year to make healthy choices and avoid high-risk behaviors. Prevention is the primary focus with an emphasis on equipping youth to resist media manipulation and social pressure. For twenty-three years, PIT has addressed crucial issues affecting our youth. This year’s conference will include a focus on drugs and alcohol, tobacco and vaping, bullying, healthy relationships, and mental health. The conference offers information and resources that support both students’ leadership skills and abilities to make positive, informed decisions. For school advisors and advocates, PIT highlights current issues youth face and resources to use as intervention strategies.
